一群国大毕业生，虽然不全是来自中文系，但为了延续他们对中文的热爱及对教育方面的兴趣，在1996年创办了华乐。

公司成立初期以提供中文电脑教育为主，并零售及批发各种教育性唯读光碟。我们也承接网页设计方案及开发唯读光碟软件。

学华文，乐趣多。我们的宗旨是为大家提供一个多姿多彩，内容丰富充实，具教育意义的中文学习网站，同时为发扬中华文化而尽一分力。为了在教育方面作出平衡，我们也将会继续发展各方面的学习网，以配合莘莘学子的需要。

我们开发了许多唯读光碟软件，包括畅销的《小学生学作文》。我们也替公司及学校编写多媒体唯读光碟软件。

我们从香港及中国挑选并进口大量教育性唯读光碟，提供给本地许多商家、书局。这些唯读光碟许多已成为教育部推荐软件。

我们开办了不少以中文讲解的电脑课程，包括基本电脑应用、文书处理、中文之星、网页浏览等， 为不懂英语或习惯用华语的人们提供了接触新科技的第一步。虽然我们已不再办课，但我们仍为此感到骄傲。

我们也承接网页设计方案，并以设计中文网页为主。

随着科技的发展和日趋被重视，公司决定向教育性网页进军，并开始提供中文学习及中华文化资料的网页，对象是在籍的中学生及对中文有兴趣的成年人。在此同时，华乐网站也提供华文及高级华文的网上试题库让各中学校订购使用。往后，我们将发展更多其他方面的学习网，让华乐陪着您一起学习、一起成长。

EduOnline was founded by a group of NUS graduates in 1996, with the aim to promote learning of Chinese language and culture using IT.

The company initially established an education centre conducting various computer courses in Mandarin. In addition, the company also distributes and retail Chinese educational CDROMs , provides webpage design service, involves in CDROM multimedia production and VCD conversion service.

With the increased emphasis of using IT and internet in schools, we have decided to shift our focus to building applications that will promote learning of Chinese language through the internet. In the near future, we may venture into learning websites for other topics or subjects.

We have developed multimedia CD-ROMs for several schools like Kranji and Commonwealth Secondary School. We have also produced several educational CD-ROMs, one of the best seller is "Composition for Beginners".

We have personally selected and imported high quality educational CDROMs from China and Hong Kong, whereby their content suits the need of our local educational system. Many of them have been on the MOE recommended list. These CDROMs help students to improve their Chinese through interactive and interesting learning process. They are distributed in many bookstores all over Singapore.

We have conducted various IT courses like MS Office, Chinese Star, Web surfing etc to help students, teachers and working adults to learn about IT using their mother tongue. Although we have ceased conducting these courses, we are proud to say that we have helped hundreds of Singaporeans to begin their interest in IT.

We have specialised in designing webpage in Chinese. Several companies and associations have engaged us in developing their website. We also provide web hosting services for companies who do not own a webserver.

We have developed a website for Chinese learning. This is a place for everyone to learn about Chinese language through various ways. The services available on this site are open for public access except the accessment database, which is on subscription basis. Currently, the accessment database, which caters for Chinese and Higher Chinese for secondary school (according to Singapore's syllables), is accepting subscription from all secondary schools. We will continue to develop similar database for other subjects in the near future.
